  • Adult Drill Team Night!

    Come and ride with us! This is a free event for our local and long-term clients. The fun will start at 5:30pm right here at Taktur Icelandics. You’re welcome to bring your own horse or we can arrange the use of one of our lesson horses.

  • Youth Drill Team Day!

    February 10th

    Crestwood, KY

    This free event at Taktur is open to our youth riders and tiny tots! The fun will run from 1:30-4:00pm. Come prepared to have a great time! Students are encouraged to bring their own horse, but not required. We can arrange for a Taktur lesson horse as needed.   • Spring Competition Workshop

    Come and start the year off right with the VERY FIRST installment of our Workshop Series. This will be the perfect opportunity to begin your prep work for the spring show season. Even better... our Gamankeppni Show at Locust Hill is just 2 weeks away from this event. This allows you valuable practice time on the oval with top trainers ahead of the main event.   • Building A Foundation: Icelandic Groundwork Clinic

    Trainer Terral Hill will be traveling to Sand Meadow Farm for this clinic. While there, he’ll be focusing on groundwork fundamentals for all levels of horses and riders – both young/untrained and fully trained/ridden horses.   • Liberty Clinic with Modern Day Horsemanship

    We are so excited to welcome back our friends Patrick and Avery Sullivan of Modern Day Horsemanship, the Gamilah Unbridled Rescue Liberty Project and the Youth Equine Liberty Organization (YELO)! This liberty focused clinic is sure to be packed with high-quality education alongside good fun!

    During the clinic, participants will enjoy 2 private sessions (one with Patrick and one with Avery) each day, all 3 days. On August 25th, we will also be offering a YELO show for youth and the young at heart to compete with their horses at liberty and bridleless. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to learn and compete together all in one wonderful weekend.
